. . . dedicated to EDUCATION
The Spine Education and Research Institute is a strong supporter of promoting science education. Our educational endeavors include the following:
1. We are one of the premier international sites for a fellowship in spine surgery. Train with our world-renowned surgeons for a month or even a year.
2. For the past few years, we have awarded college scholarships to deserving students pursuing a degree in the life sciences. The minimum award is $500.
3. We have hosted Summer Science Camps for kids ages 7-18. The students participate in numerous dissections and explore a wide gamut of the sciences including zoology, entomology, astronomy, etc.
4. High school groups are welcome to schedule a field trip to our facility. The students may view a live surgery, participate in a cadaveric disssection, and learn about careers in the allied health care fields.
We are continuing to develop our educational outreach programs. Coming soon is a poster and essay contest geared toward our younger science scholars.
